Lakota Aid Newsletter for March 2008
Hi Everyone,
At last the Spring is appearing with the blooming of
the crocuses, snowdrops, daffodils and other
beautiful flowers. Winter is of course still not
over yet, but I personally can feel the changes
coming in as the days begin to lengthen and the
lighter evenings make the nights feel less gloomy.
I will be going back to the Pine Ridge Reservation,
South Dakota on March 25th 08 and cannot wait for
this trip. Due to circumstances it has been a while
since I last went over, and although I am in
constant contact with the people via phone and
e-mail, it is not the same as seeing them
personally, so it will be a very important and
emotional trip for me indeed!
This trip will be one of research as well as seeing
old friends etc, and I hope to have a lot more
information about the Lakota people and the things
that have changed, or not, as is usually the case
unfortunately, when I get back from this trip.
I am very much hoping to do more talks this coming
year in the UK initially, but if circumstances arose
that I was able to go anywhere in the world to give
talks, then I am happy to do that also.
If anyone would like to me to come to their area and
give a talk about my work with the Lakota people
over the past 5 years, then please contact me
through the website :-
www.lakota-aid.co.uk
I will be very happy to talk about my work and thus
promote the plight of the Lakota people, and through
this make more and more people aware of what is
truly happening to these people and how the US
government still continue to keep everything under
wraps and away from the public eye!
I will put out another newsletter in April, after my
trip to Pine Ridge and keep you posted on that trip.
Until then I wish you all a very Happy Easter, that
is not too far away now, and like myself, embrace
and enjoy the onset of the Springtime. Apart from
the Spring flowers, you only have to listen to the
birds to know that Spring is on it’s way!
Take care,
Brenda.
